Lucky Armstrong used to be a full-time stay-at-home mum, with no job of her own and no real sense of having a career. Her days felt repetitive and a bit directionless, as if she was stuck in the same routine over and over again. Then one day, she bought her first garden fence for the back garden — and that small purchase ended up changing far more than she expected.
Once the fence went up, her garden started to look tidier, more organized, and full of color and life. And to her surprise, looking after the garden — choosing decorations, learning about different fence materials, and planning out the space — sparked something in her. She began to feel motivated again, interested again, and more in control of her life. As the garden grew more vibrant, she found herself changing too. She rediscovered who she was, found new goals and a new passion, and eventually turned garden fencing into the start of her own business.
In 2025, she took another step toward this newfound path by founding Senlan Trading Company in Hong Kong, specializing in independent websites. What started as a small garden project blossomed into an entrepreneurial journey, helping others create personal, meaningful spaces — and inspiring those who felt stuck to embrace change, no matter how small.
Now, she wants to share this experience with anyone who feels stuck in the same way — to show them that a small change, even something as simple as a garden fence, can become the turning point that brings new life and energy back into your world.
